Zhang Wanqiang, a Jiangxi stir-fry chef, turns his little roadside shop into the busiest restaurant on the entire street through freshly picked ingredients, fierce wok cooking, and honest, made-to-order dishes. The landlord, Liu Fugui, and his son grow jealous, convinced that the shop's success comes solely from its location. They collude with Liu Mei, a dishonest competitor, to raise the rent and force Zhang out. Furious, Zhang abandons the prime location and starts over in a tucked-away shop. After taking over the prime premises, the Liu family switches to pre-made meals, cuts corners, and raises prices. Their reputation collapses, leaving the valuable shop empty and costing them a fortune. Meanwhile, Zhang's genuine cooking skills and integrity win back his regular customers, and large catering orders keep pouring in, making his new shop even more popular. The landlord's family eventually bows their heads, apologizes, and begs to return to their former arrangement, only to receive a sharp, sobering rebuke. A prime location can bring success for a while; integrity sustains it for a lifetime.
