Two post-00 office workers travel through time together into ancient emperors and empresses. Facing an empress dowager urging for children and a usurping prince, they use slack-offology, KPI evaluations, and buck-passing methods to counter every move. Drawing lots to rule the country, reviewing memorials with "Read and Keep It Up", making crazy fortunes with milk tea blind boxes, and orphan KPI evaluations to establish a crown prince—along the way, outrageous operations drive the villains crazy. In the end, they dump the throne on the scapegoat prince, reform Great Yan into a modern corporation, achieve paid retirement, and travel the world opening milk tea shops.
