After being reborn, Shen Yi is sealed inside a bear's den by his own uncle. Unexpectedly, he saves a white fox and gains the extraordinary ability to communicate with the creatures of the mountains. Armed with this gift, he ventures out of the remote mountains, gathering wild mountain produce and searching for medicinal herbs. Through his own skills and hard work, he gradually builds a fortune and restores the long-abandoned West Ridge Hunting Grounds. Facing the harassment of the Tang family and their daughter, as well as the covetous eyes of foreign forces, he remains true to his principles and protects the ancient secret realm deep within Ghost-Frightening Mountain from being plundered. In the end, he helps the relevant authorities safeguard national treasures, wins the white fox's sincere devotion, and settles into a warm and peaceful life with his family.
