Su Jin, who grew up on a sacred mountain, descends into the mortal world to accumulate merit. When Yuan Jing, the third young master of the Yuan family, arrives at the Su residence to break off their engagement, his baleful aura suddenly erupts. Su Jin saves him, and he becomes convinced that she is the chosen one, willingly agreeing to marry her. Yuan Wen schemes to seize the family fortune and secretly harms them both, but Su Jin foils every plot. At a business conference, chamber of commerce president Ye Bufan, who once shattered Yuan Jing's destiny, humiliates Yuan Jing. Su Jin defeats Ye Bufan and takes him as her disciple. Yuan Jing secretly marries Su Jin without telling his father, who strongly objects. Only after Ye Bufan intervenes does his father reluctantly agree. Seeing this, Yuan Wen murders their father and frames Yuan Jing. Su Jin and Yuan Jing infiltrate the funeral, where Su Jin uses her supernatural abilities to expose Yuan Wen's crimes in front of everyone. In the end, with Su Jin's help, Yuan Jing and his father reconcile.
