Leng Luoxi, a 21st-century master physician and army colonel, has her soul transported into the body of the legitimate eldest daughter of the Chancellor's household in the Kingdom of Yesheng, a so-called jinx who was banished for ten years. With her extraordinary medical and poison skills, she trounces her hypocritical stepmother, Liu Dancai, exposes the true face of her scheming younger sister, Leng Ningshuang, and navigates her betrothal to Ye Junlin. As they go from testing each other to discovering that they once saved each other's lives years ago in the Valley of Ruthlessness, their fates become intertwined.
