Ming Rui, a freshman in college and the daughter of a meat-processing plant owner, discovers that her classmate Zheng Xiangyi has been reborn and is determined to steal her spotlight. Xiangyi even knows Ming Rui's hidden family background, repeatedly taking credit for her achievements and secretly scheming against her. During a Mid-Autumn Festival picnic, Zheng Xiangyi insists on buying cheap, expired frozen meat and ignores Ming Rui's warnings, causing mass food poisoning that kills their classmate Luo Dachuan.
