Because her husband Lu Zhiwei cheated on her, Lin Qiuxiang turned to the shaman Wang Wen for a secret recipe to have a son. Instigated by Lu Zhiwei, Wang Wen set up a scheme to make Lin Qiuxiang believe in the "Lone Phoenix Curse," tricked her daughter into going to the countryside, and the two took the opportunity to have an affair and scam money. After discovering the truth, Lin Qiuxiang kept her composure, secretly had her mother pick up her daughter, and gathered evidence of the infidelity. She played along, using a "haunting" to scare out their confessions. In the end, Lin Qiuxiang produced the evidence, forced Lu Zhiwei to leave with nothing, and started a new life with her daughter.
