Fu Xizhou is the only son in nine generations of the Warlord's family, and the entire household dotes on him endlessly. All he wants is to join the military. One day, he accidentally kicks over the herbal medicine stall belonging to Gu Xixi's father but refuses to apologize. Gu Xixi unleashes her overwhelming aura, frightening him so badly that he wets his pants. Everyone thinks she has caused a terrible disaster, but the Warlord's wife instead offers her a generous salary to become her son's study companion. Fu Xizhou repeatedly tries to play tricks on Gu Xixi, only to have every scheme exposed. Later, he unexpectedly suffers severe poisoning, and Gu Xixi risks her life to save him, sustaining serious injuries herself. Deeply remorseful, Fu Xizhou vows to study hard and become stronger, and the two make a marriage pact. Eighteen years later, having achieved great success, he returns, and the two meet again amid the sea of people.
