Yellow sand in the great desert, floating and sinking in a troubled world. A lonely camel-herder boy, A Yan, in order to find his family's camel calf, mistakenly enters an obscure wind-eroded ancient cave, and accidentally picks up a pulsating, warm, blood-clotting warm jade. Late at night, the jade shatters and awakens, a cute and spiritual little golden Qilin breaks out of the jade, and barges into A Yan's impoverished life. Little Lin harbors the divine beast power of controlling water and summoning sand, not only reviving the crescent moon village's ancient well that has been dry for half a year, sheltering all living things in the whole village, but also forging a life-and-death bond with the kind and sincere A Yan. The town bully, Ma Wancai, covets the Qilin's divine power, and in order to seize the auspicious beast, spares no effort to blockade the trade route, cut off the village's water source, and colludes with horse bandits to make things difficult in every possible way, driving A Yan and his grandfather into a desperate situation.
