Su Bai, the director of a tourist attraction on the verge of bankruptcy, unexpectedly awakens the Journey to the West Recruitment System and transforms into the ultimate HR manager. Using modern products such as fried chicken, diamond-studded kasayas, and VR equipment, he delivers a technological knockout to the world of Journey to the West. He successively poaches Sun Wukong, the Black Bear Demon, Zhu Bajie, the Little White Dragon, and other gods and demons, training them to become star employees at his tourist attraction. As Guanyin, the Tathagata, and the Jade Emperor are successively persuaded to switch sides, the entire Journey to the West pilgrimage plan falls apart, forcing Tang Sanzang to return to Chang'an and become a modern-day trader. In the end, Su Bai recruits all the gods and demons of the Three Realms under his command and builds a modern tourist attraction called the Three Realms Wonder, earning millions a day. Meanwhile, the gods and Buddhas throughout the heavens finally discover the true meaning of good fortune through their working lives.
