Industrial tycoon Li Zheng is reborn in 1990 with forty years of experience. Determined to revive a machinery factory on the brink of bankruptcy, he finds his father bedridden after his eldest uncle pressures him over unpaid debts. In his previous life, selling the factory led to his family's ruin. This time, he vows to change their fate. He makes a bet to repay the debts within a month and escapes the crisis by earning money through flange machining. He rejects his ex-girlfriend's attempt to call off their engagement and chooses Zhang Yingying instead. He then upgrades the machine tools, solves precision-parts challenges, becomes an apprentice to the chief engineer, and tackles a fuel injector project monopolized by foreign companies. Overcoming his rivals' sabotage, he produces samples that surpass imported products in quality, secures the order, and sets the nation on the road to industrial revival.
