Rural girl Lin Wan scores 680 points on the gaokao, only for her close friend Zhou Ting to tamper with her college application, assigning her to the unpopular major of "Ancient Metal Enamelware Restoration," where she is the sole student in the entire school. Her advisor Gu Yan has been missing for years, and senior figures like Uncle Zheng and Li Hui hone her through rigorous methods. After four years of grueling practice, Lin Wan becomes the sole successor of the lost craft and participates in a key national restoration project. Zhou Ting takes a job at a major corporation responsible for cultural and museum promotion, but her proposal is publicly corrected by Lin Wan. At the project meeting, her high school homeroom teacher arrives with evidence of the application tampering, exposing Zhou Ting's crimes. With her own hands, Lin Wan turns a path no one believed in into her own light, ascending to the national treasure restoration stage.
