Grain Rebirth is a realistic 2D Chinese animation centered on returning home for rural construction, rural spatial renewal, and the growth of ordinary people. Twenty-eight-year-old Lin Maiqing returns to the countryside with her design experience, originally intending to transform an abandoned granary into a new rural space. However, right at the start, she encounters multiple blows: heavy rain, roof collapse, damp materials, tight funds, and the cancellation of filming cooperation. While everyone thinks that continuing to restore the old granary is not worth the loss, Lin Maiqing discovers from the detail of rainwater naturally draining along old stone crevices that these seemingly backward old buildings and facilities are not worthless, but rather hide the wisdom left behind by predecessors adapting to the land.
