The story tells of Lu Chen, a national-level engineer of the modern era, who travels through time to the Great Tang and is transformed into the "good-for-nothing top scholar" Lu Xun. Regarded as a fool by the grand tutor's faction, Lu Xun repeatedly uses modern thinking to make his moves, saving the Great Tang from disasters several times until all the ministers are thoroughly convinced.
