In his previous life, the Dragon Marshal Li Guanqi transmigrates into the body of a poor young hunter with the same name in Luobei County, Great Xia, during a time of war. He and his mother and younger sister are mistreated by his third uncle Li Feng's family and abandoned in the snowy mountains. Using his battlefield combat instincts, he kills a ferocious tiger and exchanges it for a treasured saber and silver. He reclaims the deed to his ancestral home and publicly severs ties with his cruel relatives. Li Feng and Zhao Desheng repeatedly come looking for trouble, only to be seriously injured by the traps he sets. Li Guanqi beats the court drum to file a complaint and uses witnesses and evidence to recover the rent money stolen from him. To treat his seriously ill mother, he ventures deep into the mountains in search of the rare Blood Lotus medicinal herb, battling giant apes and wild boars along the way. Through hunting, he earns a fortune, treats his friends and family kindly, and fiercely fights back against his wicked relatives. With hunting as his livelihood, he establishes himself and begins his journey to rise above adversity.
