Special forces soldier Lin Feng unexpectedly crosses over to Kaoshantun in the Northeast in 1982, becoming a good-for-nothing looked down upon by everyone. His elder sister passes away, leaving behind three young nieces and a huge debt. At this critical moment, the hunting system is activated, and he enters the mountain to catch fish and hunt, swearing to raise the three little girls. In the mountain, he accidentally meets the wealthy woman Zhou Huizhen, and steps in to rescue the endangered Zhou Yanqing. Zhou Huizhen appreciates Lin Feng's martial prowess and character, and the two team up to venture deep into dangerous territory to find rare medicinal herbs. While fighting against greedy creditors and troublesome rivals, Lin Feng leads the fellow villagers to find ways to get rich, carving out a prosperous life of his own in the freezing Northeast.
