Shen Yan, a star teacher, spent six years making Qinghe a success, only to be suddenly demoted to teaching assistant. His monthly salary was slashed from 38,000 to just 3,200, while Qiao Man, a newcomer returning from overseas, replaced him as the lead teacher. Shen Yan decisively resigned, but Qiao Man soon lost control of one situation after another, from expanding classes and joint exhibitions to issues surrounding children's original artwork. Parents withdrew their children, projects were suspended, and Qinghe fell into crisis. Even when the boss offered Shen Yan a high salary to return, he refused to clean up the mess again. In the end, he returned to the classroom, determined to let every child draw an answer of their own.
