Paper Kite is a 20-episode historical healing short drama, with each episode lasting approximately one minute and a total runtime of 20 minutes. It tells the story of Yun Wan, a painter whose work is rejected by an art workshop. She returns to Qingchuan Town and accidentally wanders into Chengfeng Kite Workshop, where she meets Gu Chengfeng, a skilled kite maker. From learning to shape bamboo frames and cover them with silk to designing new patterns together and crafting a magnificent returning-wild-goose kite, the two gradually grow closer. Yun Wan also recognizes the old sand swallow kite hanging in the workshop for ten years as the very kite she lost during her childhood. Together, they restore the old kite, successfully organize a kite festival, and bring the workshop back to life.
