Lin Fan, an overworked office worker, dies suddenly from exhaustion caused by overtime and transmigrates into a world of beast tamers. He awakens an S-rank thunder summoning ability that seems like a joke, summoning the four great divine beasts in their juvenile forms: the bald Vermilion Bird Ruyan, the White Tiger Xiaobai, the gluttonous Black Tortoise Pangpang, and the Azure Dragon Zhuzi. At first, the divine beasts reveal their goofy sides, causing countless problems and even offending the sect's genius, Li Haoran. With the sect leader's guidance, Lin Fan learns the true origins of the divine beasts and travels to Mount Kunlun to train under Baize. Meanwhile, the four great ferocious beasts emerge and wreak havoc. Leading his divine beasts through fierce battles, Lin Fan subdues Qiongqi and Hundun before heading to Qingqiu to compete for the Taowu Token. Using the ferocious beast tokens ingeniously, he severely wounds Taotie and finally puts an end to the ancient ferocious beasts.
