In the early 1960s, Lin Dashan, a young man from Heishan Village, finds himself in desperate circumstances. Through sheer determination and a stroke of luck, he discovers precious medicinal herbs deep in the mountains and saves his father's life. He then makes a decisive change of direction, leases barren mountains to establish a green Chinese medicinal herb demonstration base, and leads the villagers toward shared prosperity. Never forgetting his roots as he grows wealthy, Dashan funds the construction of a Hope Primary School and steadfastly upholds the ecological principle of 'replant two for every one harvested.' Ultimately, he builds a happy family, protects his hometown's beautiful mountains and clear waters, and writes an inspiring song of youthful rural revitalization.
