Movie Emperor Shen Yan retired seven years ago due to his father's illness, but actually took over Chengyuan Group. Wearing an old jacket to attend an old friends' gathering, he was mocked and ridiculed by Zhou Kai, Xu Yiming, and Lin Wei, and cropped out of the group photo; only Lu Yao and Su Wan treated him with true sincerity. Shen Yan secretly secured an audition for Lu Yao, invested in Su Wan's documentary, and dealt with Zhou Kai strictly by the book. Zhou Kai teamed up with Xinghe Culture to spread rumors, but was instead backfired by the photo comparison image, leaving him isolated and abandoned by all. Dark Currents became a hit, Lu Yao received a best supporting actor nomination, and Su Wan's documentary went online. True help is repaid with sincerity, and false affections leave no debts.
