Gunshots shatter a century of peace in the Nanling Mountains. A group of poachers sneaks deep into the mountains, setting traps to capture wild animals. A black bear collapses at the entrance of a forest ranger's cabin. Xiao He, a university student, ventures into the mountains to find her grandfather, who guards the forest. She originally intends to persuade him to come down from the mountains, but the wilderness makes her stay. She pries open an iron trap to rescue a fawn, tears off her clothes to bandage its wounds, and later treats an injured old bear. Through her kindness, she earns the animals' trust. Liefeng, the Tiger King, is initially wary of humans, but gradually realizes that the people who protect the forest are his true allies. The poachers launch another attack, attempting to capture Qinglan, the white tiger. Knowing that the enemies are armed with equipment, her grandfather leaves the mountains alone to report them to the police. Xiao He stays behind in the forest and joins forces with Liefeng and the other animals to set a trap for the intruders. Together, they capture all three criminals. The forest protection team arrives to complete the operation, and the villains are taken away. The girl becomes close friends with all the animals.
