Gu Yan worked diligently at Ruan Corporation for nine years, only to be unjustly fired because of an old grudge with the newly arrived heir, Ruan Shaoqing. His girlfriend of four years, Su Man, also abandoned him out of greed for wealth and status. After leaving the company, Gu Yan's counterattack brought a key loan project at Ruan Corporation to a standstill. Shen Xingruo, the former campus belle, recognized his talent and invited him to join Xinghan Capital, a top-tier venture capital firm. When Ruan Shaoqing and Su Man maliciously slandered him, Gu Yan resolutely used legal means to defend his rights. In the end, Ruan Corporation collapsed, and the Ruan father and son were sent to prison.
