In ancient times, Qingniu Village suffers a severe drought. Li Tieshan, who has spent half his life working tirelessly, slips and falls into the water while fetching it, unexpectedly gaining the ability to travel between ancient and modern times. He arrives in the modern world and meets Yu Feifei, an outdoor livestreamer. Using his wilderness survival skills, he guides her through the mountains and identifies wild products in exchange for food and supplies to bring back to the past, ensuring his family's basic needs are met. From then on, he travels between the two worlds, earning money as an outdoor content creator in the modern era and purchasing agricultural supplies such as seeds and water pumps. Back in ancient times, he uses modern resources and technology to fight the drought, cultivate high-yield rice, develop the medicinal herb trade, and stand up to local tyrants. He leads the villagers out of famine and toward prosperity, writing a story of an underdog's rise through time-spanning efforts to rebuild his hometown.
