Young man Zhang Yuan is unable to pay rent and gets driven out, a stray orange cat recognizes him as master and activates the "Pet Appraisal System"—capable of seeing through pet health, hidden talents, and karma. He starts live streaming pet appraisals, publicly exposing the landlady, appraising money-spitting grass goldfish, helping a retired police dog track down abducted cubs, and drawing wealthy woman Zhou Hongluan into the fold. The Special Services Bureau head repeatedly tries to recruit him, but he refuses a regular official post to become a temporary consultant. From a bottom-tier pet appraiser to a plane protector, Zhang Yuan only wants to live peacefully—while upending this absurd world.
