Modern corporate slave Zhao Tiezhu time-travels to Dajing and gets bound to a lord-protecting system tied to the fate of the doomed empress. Only by raising Li Lingyi's favorability can he unlock divine power and modern firearms. In a desperate isolated city, he single-handedly repels the enemy, defeats the hostile army with guns and grenades, suppresses rebels, eradicates the treacherous chancellor Li Huai, and builds the Divine Machine Camp to sweep across the Northern Di. Together they tread through thorns to recapture the capital, and despite all opposition, the empress appoints him as her imperial consort, joining hands to create a prosperous age.
