Li Gousheng, a 22-year-old fresh graduate, finds himself unemployed immediately after graduation. At an abandoned scenic attraction, he makes a wish at a wishing pond: give me a job. A contract promptly falls right onto his head. He becomes the wishing pond's janitor, tasked with fulfilling the wishes of people who still remember what they once wished for. His only companions are Miaomiao, a pond spirit who ranks last in performance and calls herself the Supreme One, and a group of unreliable coworkers. From a fisherman who gets no bites by the riverside to arranging rain for an entire school's incoming students, Li Gousheng uses discarded wishes to untangle people's heartaches, one by one. Yet the wish he made at the age of five is still resting at the bottom of the pond.
