Chen Xiaomai has relied on her grandmother for companionship and support since childhood. As her grandmother grows old, she is reluctantly driven out of her uncle's grain and cooking oil shop. Xiaomai brings her grandmother home and revives the family's ancestral tofu-making craft, setting up a street stall to make a living. However, numerous obstacles arise along the way. Seizing opportunities offered by rural development support programs, she expands her business, obtains the necessary food production permits, and starts a grain and cooking oil purchasing service. She also creates job opportunities for local residents. After weathering many twists and turns, her uncle and aunt finally resolve their resentment, and the neighbors learn to live together in harmony.
