Lu Jianguo, an old carpenter, attends a reunion with his former classmates. Because of his simple clothes, the hotel manager stops him and deliberately makes things difficult for him. His former classmates also look on coldly and even mock him. Just when the elderly man is humiliated, his son, Lu Chenzhou, arrives in time. He is the hotel's true manager. In front of everyone, he exposes the manager's secret dealings in reallocating private rooms and accepting bribes, wins justice for his father, and leaves the hypocritical, snobbish former classmates speechless, demonstrating his filial devotion and sense of responsibility.
