Chen Mo was poisoned by his wife Su Wanqing and Lin Zhe in joint conspiracy. Only upon his death did he realize that Su Wanqing had impersonated his savior and the child was also their flesh and blood. In a single moment of rebirth, he tore off the disguise on the spot, froze his assets, and filed for divorce. Su Wanqing hired killers to plot a car accident, but instead caused Lin Zhe to be heavily injured for Chen Mo. She sneaked into the hospital to administer poison, only to be stopped by Lu Qingyuan, the doctor who truly saved Chen Mo. Driven to desperation, Su Wanqing incited cyberbullying and arranged to negotiate with Chen Mo by the river to manufacture an accidental fall into the river. Chen Mo played along by feigning a fall into the river, and at the memorial service exposed all the evidence of her impersonation, murder by poison, and forgery of the will. Su Wanqing and the others were arrested one after another. Chen Mo confessed his love to Lu Qingyuan, and the two finally became a couple.
