During an extreme thunderstorm, Flight TD886 operated by Tianda Airlines suffers engine damage. Captain Lu Yan successfully makes an emergency landing outside the airport, saving all 132 people on board. After landing, he eats chocolate due to low blood sugar, but passenger Liu Meilan secretly films him. Upset that her travel plans have been disrupted, Liu demands an exorbitant compensation payment and forces Lu Yan to apologize. Her nephew, Li Kai, falsely claims that a relative is a department leader to pressure the airline. To protect the company's stock price, General Manager Zhao makes Lu Yan take the blame, grounding him and withholding his salary. Refusing to admit fault, Lu Yan resigns and walks away. Liu Meilan uploads an edited video online, distorting the truth and triggering a wave of cyberbullying against him. His privacy is exposed, his family is harassed, and Li Kai sabotages his job applications. Liu even shows up at his residential community to cause a scene and livestream the confrontation, while Li Kai destroys his medal.
