Folk puzzle solver Lu Yan and chronicler Su Wan meet due to bizarre strange noises from an old house in the suburbs. After teaming up to investigate, they discover that retired teacher Elder Chen has been hiding in a hidden compartment for half a year to protect a precious Han dynasty general's jade seal, avoiding the pursuit of his nephew Lin Hao. The two follow clues deep into an abandoned archaeological site, uncover the sealed truth of an archaeological team's accident thirty years ago, and thwart cultural relic thieves striking late at night. In the end, Elder Chen donates the jade seal to the country, and everyone lets go of past obsessions, welcoming a brand-new life.
