Lu Xiao, a professor of zoology and botany at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, ventures deep into the Kunlun Mountains. What was supposed to be a livestream about nature education takes an unexpected turn when he encounters an injured snow leopard about to give birth. To save the mother snow leopard and her cubs, he joins forces with Moxue, a retired police dog, and border-post soldiers Bian Haining and Nie Cheng to stand guard at a remote mountain outpost. From delivering cubs and feeding them to patrolling the mountains and searching for supplies, they gradually become caught up in a series of extraordinary animal encounters. A snow leopard mother with human-like understanding, a jealous Moxue, a clever and cunning snow squirrel, and a fiery red fox that suddenly appears turn their otherwise harsh life guarding the mountains into one filled with laughter and warmth.
