Night market street vendor Wang Xiaochuan is cheerful and efficient. Management representative Gu Yan comes over to collect a security deposit, but she takes the lead in refusing to pay; when the street holds a vote for the "prettiest stall", she fights her way through and takes first place. Just as the vote ends, Gu Yan brings a remodeling plan, and the old stalls face upgrading or elimination. While holding onto her own stall, Wang Xiaochuan leads the neighbors to find a way, going from confronting Gu Yan to sitting down to talk. A story full of the fireworks of a street, brimming with a Northeastern flavor.
