Modern man Lin Xiao transmigrates to the Great Qian frontier, binding the "God of War" system, and at the start saves the heterochromic fallen dynasty empress Xiao Qingxuan and marries her. To seek survival, Lin Xiao signs a suicide squad pact to raid the barbarian army by night, successively slaying barbarian generals and shocking the northern territory in one stroke. Subsequently, he captures Baishui City with wits, eradicates corrupt officials and local gentry colluding with the northern barbarians, reclaims wasteland for farming, and subdues the military family general Mu Wanying and extraordinary eccentric talents. Facing the pincer attack of Prince Bai and a fifty-thousand-strong northern barbarian coalition, Lin Xiao deploys disguise arts to execute the enemy general Shi Yong and replace him, leading the Cangzhou army to turn coats and heavily defeat the barbarian army. Finally, invited by the great Confucian scholar Zhu Ming, he officially begins his counterattack and hegemony path of "having a righteous cause for one's actions".
