University graduate Lu Fei reopens the "Xie" brand pawnshop in accordance with his grandfather's will. To protect the family business, he successively subdues three evil objects to resolve Xie Yao's danger of the "soul-sucking chain," obtaining clues to his grandfather's disappearance; breaks the "hungry ghost money" curse, taking in the assistant Huzi; destroys the Su family's "mother-and-child Buddha statue," breaking the mother-and-child snake evil.
