After returning to her hometown, hairstylist Fa Yan comes back to Faxing Residential Community. Seeing discarded old barber chairs piled up, she decides to create a shared barbershop corner. At first, she faces skepticism from Uncle Fa, an experienced old barber, as well as online mockery during livestreams and setbacks when heavy rain destroys their materials. With help from A Kuai, a young delivery worker, Xiao Dou, a child, and their crafty neighbors, everyone works together to restore the old barber chairs, make barber capes, and complete safety tests. They organize restoration workshops and a barbershop market, rehearse a short play, and Uncle Fa takes on an apprentice to pass down his craft. In the end, discarded old items find new life, and the shared barbershop corner becomes a regular community service. Through a recycling system for old barber chairs, the project rekindles warmth among neighbors and brings fresh vitality to traditional craftsmanship.
