In 1982, Lin Dong, who had died with deep regrets, is reborn on the very night his wife, Shen Youwei, is dangerously ill with a high fever and the money needed to save her is about to be stolen by his younger brother. Given a second chance at life, he decisively separates the household and cuts ties with his family, vowing to protect his wife and change their fate. After unexpectedly awakening the 'Lazy Fisherman System,' Lin Dong uses abilities such as underwater radar and invisible fish traps to start with a premium yellow croaker. Teaming up with his brother-in-arms Zhao Meng, he braves dangerous waters, takes on fishing tyrants, buys fishing boats, and catches tens of thousands of jin of silver pomfret. He quickly builds a fortune, making those who once bullied him regret their actions.
