Jiang Lingzhi's engagement was stolen by her stepsister Jiang Lingyuan, and she was humiliated on her wedding day by her groom Xiao Yan. Decisively choosing to "hold a joyful funeral and wedding simultaneously," she switched brides and married the comatose God of War general Xiao Jingyi. Afterwards, through her "husband-prospering" constitution, Jiang Lingzhi revived the general, established a firm foothold in the Duke's Manor, and counter-attacked from a "country bumpkin" returning from the countryside into a first-rank imperial mandate lady, ultimately gaining managerial authority and uncovering the conspiracy. Jiang Lingzhi and Xiao Jingyi went from "marrying first and loving later" to being attracted to each other, ultimately rushing towards each other in a two-way journey.
