Three-year-old little Niannian accidentally gets lost in the suburbs and happens to be taken home by the passing head of the Fu family in Hong Kong City. Everyone thinks the child will suffer wrongs upon arriving in an unfamiliar environment, but the Fu family has been thriving for generations yet uniquely lacks girls, and recently things have not been going smoothly. After little Niannian's arrival, she unexpectedly brings a lot of good luck. Everyone jokes that little Niannian is a little darling carrying her own blessings, loved by whoever sees her, and touching her luck always brings good things close. The elders of the surrounding prominent families are all immensely envious, trying all sorts of ways to invite little Niannian over to visit their homes.
