In the 1980s, on the outskirts where urban and rural areas meet, agricultural machinery factory technician Chen Tieniu and flower nursery worker Zhou Yalan work together to research and improve farm machinery, adapting old equipment to local farming needs. The two patiently teach their neighbors how to operate the machines, while everyone often gathers to exchange farming experience and discuss ideas for improvements. As the agricultural machinery runs smoothly in the fields, accompanied by the fresh scents of soil and flowers, the villagers work diligently to manage production. The countryside is filled with a simple, harmonious atmosphere, and life is fulfilling and peaceful.
