Zhang Xiaoyu returns to her hometown to open Zhang's Braised Noodle Restaurant. To protect her own restaurant's business, her biological mother, Diao Caixia, hires a funeral procession to disrupt the opening. After the new director, Li Chengzhi, steps in to resolve the situation, Diao orders a homeless man to cause trouble and sneaks into the kitchen to plant used gutter oil, framing Zhang Xiaoyu. Using surveillance footage and physical evidence, Zhang Xiaoyu proves her innocence and reveals that Diao Caixia is her biological mother.
