Bizarre sinkholes suddenly erupt across multiple locations globally. They are not geological disasters, but rather the shattering of dimensional barriers, with low-dimensional spatial rules eroding the real world. The mist modifies human bodies and consciousness. An 8-year-old girl, An An, is unfortunately infected to a low degree, becoming the perfect vessel coveted by the low-dimensional master Xuan Wu. Survivors fall into the folded Land of Zhongyan and discover the human stronghold, City of Hope, which survives by imprisoning infected young girls to act as spatial anchors. Protagonist Jing Chen refuses to sacrifice the innocent, unites with surviving adaptors, fights against Xuan Wu who has fallen from the high dimensions externally, and embarks on a desperate adventure to find ancient seals and protect the world.
