Chen Fengzi was born the eldest daughter of a wealthy family, but as a child, she was abducted by human traffickers and sold as a child bride. She lived a hardworking, dutiful life and raised two sons and a daughter. Yet as she lay dying, her two sons treated her with shocking ingratitude, even arranging her funeral prematurely to collect an extra 500,000 yuan in compensation. Chen Tai never gave up searching for his daughter. When Chen Fengzi recovered and was discharged from the hospital, her two sons refused to acknowledge her as their mother and were reprimanded by Chen Tai. Later, Chen Fengzi was injured while protecting her sons, finally bringing them to their senses and teaching them that filial piety is the right path in life.
