Lin Fan transmigrates into the world of immortal cultivation and becomes a menial disciple of the Lingxu Immortal Sect, where he awakens a sect-symbiosis system: whenever he is injured, tens of thousands of cultivators throughout the sect are injured as well. The sect leader and the other powerful elders are forced to treat Lin Fan like a living ancestor, but the Heavenly Dao's rules prevent them from directly giving him resources or promoting him beyond the rules. Left with no choice, they rack their brains to fabricate lucky encounters and secretly help him. While carefully protecting his safety, they go to great lengths to help him pass the outer-sect examination, setting off a series of hilarious, absurd survival antics.
