This is a heartwarming story about kindness and gratitude. To fulfill his gravely ill mother's wish, impoverished scholar Lin Wenxuan asks farmer's daughter Su Yunxi to pretend to be his fiancée. Kindhearted Su Yunxi agrees without asking for payment and devotedly cares for Lin's mother until her condition improves. She also unexpectedly discovers a fertile plain shrouded in mist behind the mountain.
