Chen Xuan, an extraordinary man from Cloud Hidden Valley, descends the mountain at his master's command solely to fulfill an old marriage contract. Possessing peerless medical and martial arts skills, he is also the hidden young master of the Tianshu Pavilion, yet he disguises himself as an ordinary young man and enters Jiangcheng. Faced with misunderstandings from his fiancée, Shen Qingge, Chen Xuan remains humble and composed, neither servile nor arrogant. With his superb medical skills and wisdom, he secretly resolves the Shen family's crises and treats several critically ill patients, demonstrating the compassion of a healer. Because of their differing values, the two eventually dissolve their engagement amicably. However, Chen Xuan's sincerity, talent, loyalty, and sense of honor earn him the respect and support of close friends such as Qin Luoyin and Lu Wanxing. Having experienced the warmth and coldness of human relationships, Chen Xuan calmly lets go of past entanglements and remains true to his original aspirations.
