This story follows Gu Chuan, who grew up studying medicine deep in the mountains and descends from the mountains to search for his family. By chance, he saves his biological father, Gu Hongnian, and the two recognize each other through half of a silver lock pendant. Disguising himself as a greedy, crude bodyguard, he infiltrates the Gu family and joins forces with his father to expose the conspiracy of his stepmother, Liu Manqin, and Song Dehai to embezzle the family fortune and murder his biological mother. He also reunites with his long-lost twin brother, Chen Ye. The brothers fight side by side, repel hostile forces from overseas, and protect the legacy of ancient medicine. Ultimately, they take control of the family business and devote themselves to healing the world.
