Shen Qingge was originally the daughter of a merchant. On her wedding night, she suffered the tragedy of being poisoned and disfigured by her husband, the Third Prince Xiao Jinghuan, and her foster sister Shen Qingwan, and her body was thrown into a mass grave. Teetering on the edge of life and death, she was rescued by a divine doctor and unexpectedly awakened her internal energy. Three years later, not only did she reunite with her biological mother—Feng Shuangli, the Grand Princess Regent of Great Zhou who had retired for many years—she also returned strong under the alias "Feng Jiuge". Facing her former enemies, Shen Qingge used her extraordinary business talent to destroy the foundations of Xiao Jinghuan and the aged emperor. Ultimately, Shen Qingge overthrew the old imperial power, forced the deposed emperor to his death, and ascended the throne as empress. She promulgated the "Equal Rights Act", ushering in a prosperous era for Great Zhou featuring nations paying homage and equality between men and women.
