Shen Du has spent seven years raising bees. After his master's death, he is betrayed by his senior fellow apprentice, Chen Yaozu, who gives him only 20,000 yuan in dividends and mocks him as a useless cripple because his hands tremble. Furious, Shen Du rides his motorcycle deep into the mountains. Relying on his innate "Bee Meridian" and the ancient beekeeping techniques passed down by his master, he discovers the legendary Black Gold Rock Honey. His rain-season honey even fetches an astonishing 500,000 yuan. Chen Yaozu repeatedly makes things difficult for him and even cuts a rope in an attempt to kill him. Eventually, his evil deeds, including concealing the master's illness and embezzling the apiary, are exposed. In the end, Shen Du becomes the sole inheritor of the ancient art of finding bees and establishes an inheritance fund to ensure his master's craft lives on.
